By using The New York Public Library ("NYPL") Repository API, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions of use. NYPL may change these terms and conditions from time to time without notice, NYPL encourages you to check for updates to these terms and conditions periodically. You can always find the most recent version of these terms and conditions on this page. Your access to the NYPL Repository API can be automatically disabled if NYPL determines, in its sole discretion, that you have violated these terms and conditions.
NYPL's bibliographic metadata records (the "Metadata Records") provided through the NYPL Repository API are distributed under a Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication ("CCO 1.0 Dedication"). Please make sure to read the full NYPL Policy on Open Bibliographic Metadata, which lists guidelines that NYPL requests that you review and act in accordance with before using the NYPL Repository API.
Although the bibliographic metadata records are provided consistent with CC0 1.0 Dedication, the content described by the metadata records is not. Content may be subject to copyright, rights of privacy, rights of publicity and other restrictions. It is your responsibility to make sure that you respect these rights. Your use of NYPL content is subject to NYPL's Website Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws. You may use the NYPL Repository API for non-commercial purposes (e.g., personal use, free services, private research study or scholarship).
