This event is ONLINE only.  Join the Grand Concourse Library staff to discuss the novel, "James," by Percival Everett.  The story, a re-imagining of "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain, is told from the point of view of Huck's companion, Jim, an escaped slave. Percival Everett  (born 1956) is an African-American writer with 19 books to his credit.  His 2001 book, "Erasure,"  was recently adapted into a movie, "American Fiction," starring Jeffrey Wright and Issa Rae.  A full-time writer, Everett has described himself as  "pathologically ironic."
