This event is ONLINE only. Join the Grand Concourse Library staff as we discuss the non-fiction book, "The Power Broker," Robert Caro's prize-winning biography of Robert Moses, the urban planner. We will discuss the first four parts of the book (pages 1-499): Part I, The Idealist; Part II, The Reformer; Part III, The Rise to Power, and Part IV, The Use of Power. Robert Caro (born 1935) is an American journalist and author known for his biographies of United States political figures Robert Moses and Lyndon Johnson. He has been described by the New Republic as "the most influential biographer of the last century." Due to Caro's reputation for exhaustive research and detail, he is sometimes invoked by reviewers of other writers who are called "Caro-esque" for their own extensive research. He has won two Pulitzer Prizes and two National Book Awards.
