Crafting the Collections: Art Classes

 Cyanotype Impressions, 1849–1850

Explore The New York Public Library's collections with creative online and in person workshops throughout the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island.

From the invention of the Polaroid to the pop art of Andy Warhol, The New York Public Library has been at the center of New York art and cultural life for 125 years.

Celebrate this creative history with Crafting the Collections, a series of art workshops based on The New York Public Library collection.

Branch workshops will be held online and in person throughout the year. Previous Crafting the Collections workshops include cyanotype printing inspired by artist Anna Atkins and collage workshops highlighting the Picture Collection, watercolor illustrations, art journaling, and more!
