Libraries are central to a strong comeback for New York. As City leaders meet to discuss the budget for libraries in the coming year, take a moment to look back on everything public libraries have done to support our communities through a devastating year and sign a letter to stand with your local library.

Libraries are a lifeline for New Yorkers. From connecting New Yorkers through books, reading, and learning, to providing virtual job search help and resilience training, libraries will be central to NYC's reopening. 

Take just 30 seconds to remind City leaders that funding libraries is key to helping NYC come back strong. Sign a letter and stand with your library.

Thanks for a really nicely made film. I live in England but come to NYC from time to time to use NYPL’s research divisions. The film really catches the spirit of New Yorkers and the importance of your great library system.
