Get Excited to #LoveReading for Our 125th Anniversary
It's The New York Public Library's 125th anniversary and we're celebrating all year long. For February, we have some special happenings to share. Consider them our Valentine's Day present to you!
125 Books We Love
Get excited—on February 14 we're releasing our 125 Books We Love list. These are the books that made us #LoveReading and we think you'll love them, too. Which books made the list? You'll have to wait until Valentine's Day to find out. But the heart wants what the heart wants, you say? Love is patient, we say.
While you wait, tag us on social media or leave a comment and share what books inspired you to #LoveReading! Maybe you'll find them on the list.
The Librarian Is In Podcast
Ok, you convinced us—we'll give you a special sneak peek of nine of the books on our list when our podcast, The Librarian Is In, returns on February 13. Host Frank Collerius, library manager at Jefferson Market Library, is back with new co-host Rhonda Evans, assistant chief librarian of the Jean Blackwell Hutson Research and Reference Division at the Schomburg Center. The duo will talk books, libraries, pop culture, the literary zeitgeist and their many intersections. The Librarian Is In airs bi-weekly and every month Frank and Rhonda will discuss one of the books from the 125 Books We Love list. You're not subscribed? What are you waiting for?
