We shan't survive!

Gwen, NO! How shall we ever survive without you? I must henceforth travel through a snowy moor to catch my death of cold, for there shall be no light of hope in this dismal future. [Insert dramatic swooning and consumptive coughing here.] Juuuuust kidding, I still love you Frank! Gwen, I wish you the very best, and you will be missed. Maybe you can pop on for an occasional guest spot? Good luck in your new endeavor!

Great job!

Congratulations Gwen & Frank on your wonderful cohosting of this podcast--you make librarians everywhere proud! I eagerly look forward to the return in 2020. I also look forward to finally reading Wuthering Heights :-).
What a lovely gift to read the book you know Frank loves. Best wishes to you Gwen and thanks for your work on the podcast! Frank, I once had to decide whether or not to keep going after losing a podcast partner and if you are given the choice I think it's worth it. It will not be the same of course but I hope you get to be a part of the 2.0 version.

Oh no! What's going to happen to YA, Children's Reviews?

Oh no! Gwen, It will be sad to not listen to your reviews anymore. I loved listening to your take on Children's and YA books. You & Frank are so much fun to listen to. I hope the next cohost will also bring some great K-12 recommendations. Best of luck to you both in 2020! 'salud!' Avid K-5 School Librarian listener, Erika Camacho

We will miss you, Gwen!

At the risk of sounding like Heathcliff, I am devastated to hear Gwen is leaving!! The Librarian is In is my absolute favorite podcast. The rapport between Gwen and Frank is the best (to include breaking into song & being political!). I also love your earnest discussions of what you’ve read, especially when it’s difficult and leaves you questioning. This podcast feeds my brain and I hope it continues for a long time to come, even if we will always miss Gwen’s voice.

Thank you!

Thank you Gwen and Frank for all of the wonderful podcasts! I started working at a library a couple of years ago and began listening to a variety of book-related podcasts and yours has been my favourite. Your banter, insights, and enthusiasm for books and culture has truly been a joy to listen to and I will miss it! Most podcasts I listen to because of the content, but with The Librarian Is In, it was always less about the content for me and more just because I loved you two so much as hosts. Even when the topic wasn't something I thought I'd be interested in, you made it interesting and fun. Best wishes to you both!

Nooooo!

I'm torn over Gwen's announcement. I'm sad she's leaving my favorite podcast, but as a library worker I'm happy for her new endeavor. Definitely bittersweet for the listeners. So will the new co-host audition to be Frank's wingman/wingwoman?

Love

Thank you both for such a magical podcast and sharing your love of reading, the library and for each other most of all. You will be so missed Gwen, y’all are a bright spot in my week, every week!

Thank you!

Thank you, Gwen, you will be so very missed, and best of luck in your new adventures! This podcast has been such a source of hope and inspiration to me as a library worker, and I will hope to catch Frank and a new podcast partner in February.

The loss of Gwen

Gwen, thank you for all these years. I will really miss your voice.

Gwen--will definitely miss

Gwen--will definitely miss you on the podcast. I'm glad that NYPL wants to keep the podcast going forward. I'm going through the archives until it returns!

Farewell, Gwen!

Gwen, thank you for sharing yourself with us! Your intelligent insights and cute personality have made listening a delight. I wish you joy and success in the next phase of your career. Frank, thank you for your enthusiasm for Wuthering Heights! You have inspired me to revisit a book I thought I didn't like and approach it with a new perspective. I hope that you will return in February, we can't possibly be deprived of you both! Your podcast is one of the highlights of my week. Thank you both for being a bright spot in the world.

Frank and Rhonda

So glad you are back. I miss Gwen too but after listening to the first Frank and Rhonda podcast I am delirious. I loved your book choices from the 125. I have similar feelings about a lot of them. By the way, did you know that Ralph Ellison was very good friends with Shirley Jackson and her husband, that hind end of a horse. Read her biography, it’s very good. Thanks for your great work on the podcast. I love it.
