Visiting Jefferson Market

I can't believe more of your fans/listeners don't visit when in NY. It seems like an obvious choice. We were there in freezing March when you were on vacation, Frank. We're sorry to have missed you. I was in Brooklyn for a conference and had to visit "your" library. I'm glad I got to see it before renovations, so I can return to see the "after". Your restrooms were closed so I was directed to nearby restaurants (btw, public restrooms in NY are very hard to come by! I need to open a public restroom business for tourists in big cities.) I love Greenwich Village and of course The Strand bookstore! Gwen had I known how to find you, we would have stopped by as well. But I figure you are in some back office somewhere. I loved hearing your son on this episode! How is he already 5? Y'all keep up the good work on the podcast. I look forward to it every week. I'm a community college librarian in Texas and get some good tips for our collection. ;)

Thank you

I really appreciate that you took up my question about black culture sections in some public libraries. The discussion made me feel better that I’m not guilty of cultural appropriation and that I’m not condoning segregation. I shared the episode with our library director and collections chair. You two are amazing. Keep up the good work! (I also intended to drop in to see Frank when I was last there - the weekend of the blackout- but I didn’t get there. You two have lots of fans!)

Fangirl

If I ever make it to NYC, I want to visit you both! My dream NYC trip would be a whirlwind tour of all of your branches. Gwen, I will make sure to ask for an autograph. Frank, you better pull out your best for me! I wonder if you two realize how much your listeners love you? Listening to your podcast is like sitting down with my bff book geeks every week and I look forward to it. Your podcast is intelligent, fun, and extremely delightful, so keep up the good work!

Branches series of books!

I've read both of the Summer Reading Challenges and really enjoyed both books but the tips for books for little boys has been really important to my son. I just want to give a shout out to the Branches books. We have read the "Boris" and "Kung Pow Chicken" books about a zillion times. I prefer the Boris series but both my son and daughter love both. My daughter loved the Owl Diaries series as well. Thank you for the Princess in Black recommendation, my son (5 1/2) LOVES this series and my anti-princess daughter (8 1/2) really enjoys reading this to her little brother.
