In honor of her 103rd birthday, we celebrate the life and pioneering work of former Schomburg librarian, archivist, and chief, Jean Blackwell Hutson with this podcast.

In this episode of Live From the Reading Room, we focus on the early life and career of Mrs. Hutson with Sharon Fitzgerald. Ms. Fitzgerald is a former Scholar-in-Residence at the Schomburg Center, and she was the Senior Editor of American Visions Magazine. Ms. Fitzgerald is currently writing a biography of Jean Blackwell Hutson.
