Library Student

Hi Gwen and Frank! I just wanted to say thank you for your Podcast. I reviewed you awhile ago on itunes, and commented on how you were part of what inspired me to apply for a MLIS program at the University of Maryland. Well, I started on Monday, and already I realize that what you do is more than inspiring. In a very real way, you are mentoring me as a future librarian/information professional. Since I began listening to this podcast a year ago, I have learned so much about diversity, inclusion, and serving the public. You are my favorite podcast! And I've told several of my peers about you, so expect a few more library school listeners from my program. Much Love! Sincerely, Meagan

thank you!

Meagan, this comment made our day -- hooray for the beginning of your library journey! I used to live near College Park and spent a lot of time driving up and down Route 1... say hello to Maryland for me, and thank you again for this wonderful comment.

Hi Gwen and Frank, I've been

Hi Gwen and Frank, I've been listening for a while and always enjoy your interviews and recommendations! Since you spoke a bit this week about football and rape culture, it occurred to me to wonder whether you'd seen the Amy Schumer sketch based on Friday Night Lights, which you might enjoy. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/video/football-town-nights-sketch-inside-790885

yes!

Oh my gosh, thank you for reminding me of this -- this bit is so perfect, from the condemnation of rape culture and football to the perfectly executed camera work with all the close-ups and Amy Schumer's impression... SO GREAT. Thank you!

Spit Coffee Across the Window

Gwen and Frank: Just a quick note to thank you for your humor and insight. I look forward to your podcast episodes and regularly spit coffee across the windshield of my car as I'm driving and laughing at something you said.

thanks!

I'm taking this as a huge compliment -- coffee spit-takes are no laughing matter. Thank you! :)
