LIVE from the NYPL: Presale for Friends of the Library
Presale begins 8/11: This fall, see Salman Rushdie, Naomi Klein, and Van Jones at the Library. A new season of LIVE from the NYPL—a series of conversations with notable writers, artists, and leaders—begins soon and tickets are going to go fast. Become a Friend of the Library today to get access to the members-only presale on August 11, 2017 and receive a 20% discount on general admission tickets.

Wednesdays in August: Summer Shorts: Throughout the month of August, the Library is hosting free weekly screenings of 16mm films from its collections. Get out of the heat to see relics and forgotten gems specially selected by guest curators from the Criterion Collection, Maysles Documentary Center, and Alamo Drafthouse. 6:30 PM.
8/11: Library Listen Fest 2017: Back to School: Join us for an informal, nostalgic listening salon, featuring historic childrens' records, decades-old learning tools, and more treasured and unusual tapes from the NYPL archives. 7 PM.
Science, Industry and Business Library
8/15, 8/29 & 9/7: Content Marketing and Automation Series: Jimmy Newson leads this interactive three-part workshop series to help you identify the right type of content to suit your business needs. Please register only if you are committed and available to attend all three sessions. 6 PM.
8/9: Handling Difficult Interview Questions: Career coach Chip Conlin will teach you proven techniques to improve your interviewing skills, provide strategic answers to tough questions, and become a proactive interviewee. 6 PM.
8/12: Retirement Income Planning: Victoria Fillet CFP® outlines a variety of options for sources of retirement income, so you can secure your financial future after you stop working. 12 PM.
