Library Stories

Ep. 8 "Uniquely Empowering" | Library Stories

Chancey Fleet’s Library Story began as girl when she visited the Andrew Heiskell Braille &Talking Book Library for the first time. She tells about that first experience, and how it led her to want to teach other visually impaired people to use technology to communicate.

Library Stories is a video series from The New York Public Library that shows what the Library means to our users, staff, donors, and communities through moving personal interviews.

Looking to Connect and Help Make a Difference

Wow! I really love how you said that as people with disabilities we should also try to see how we could help others and not just view ourselves as the receiver of services! As a totally blind individual myself, I am very reliant on assistive technology and it would mean so much if I can pass on my skills and help enhance more lives - are there currently any vacancies in your department?
