lynda.com presents quality video courses taught by industry experts.

lynda is an online educational site that includes over 3,000 courses (and over 130,000 videos) in popular fields like web design, web development, IT, education/instruction, media production, career development and business.  Experts create and deliver all courses as well as provide supplemental materials like exercise files and relevant work samples.  Users will need to create accounts in order to track course progress, create playlists of potential coursework, and keep course notes.  Patrons should refer to lynda's Privacy Policy and Website Use Policy before starting.

Access Locations: Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center, Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Science, Industry and Business Library (SIBL), All Branch Libraries, Outside the Library with your library  card number and PIN.

Please note that you can only access course content through the NYPL's lynda.com login page, and not by directly visiting the lynda.com homepage. Also note that while the NYPL's lynda.com accounts are accessible through mobile devices, they are not accessible through lynda.com apps. Use your mobile device's browser.

Trouble logging in to Lynda.com

Hello, I live in Brooklyn and recently joined the nypl.org after learning there's tools to access Lynda.com. I would log on and learn mutliple things through the videos however a couple days ago when I went to log on I was unable to complete my connection. Here's the note I received: "Permission denied Your authentication was successful. However, you do not have access to this resource. If you believe you have arrived on this page in error, please contact your organization or school's IT or help desk for further assistance." Hope you can help me resolve this issue. lynda home access

Hi there, are Lynda online courses available to NYPL patrons from home/personal PCs ? I am logged into my NYPL account (at home) and I do not find the Lynda portal. Or is Lynda via NYPL, reachable only at a Library? Thank you for your time and attention, Isabel

Access of video

Hey, I have logged in to lynda.com via nypl.org but I am not able to access full video tutorials.I have no idea how to access full video. Can anybody please help me with this? Thank you

When attempting to log into the page at https://www.lynda.com/portal/patron?org=nypl.org with my NYPL card number and PIN, it automatically redirects me to https://gethelp.nypl.org/customer/portal/emails/new?b_id=12059. Any idea why this might be?

Connecting Lynda.com (Library account) to LinkedIn

Can I connect my Lynday.com Library account o my LinkedIn account, exactly like what people do with the Lynda non-library account, so my learning progress, shows and appears on my LinkedIn account?

Just want to say thank you! This free access to Lynda has helped me both personally and professionally! Truly a Gods send! I am using it now to start my own business. Since Lynda was turned into Linkedin Learning, I have not been able to log in and use the tutorials. Does anyone have the link to use the new system with library credentials?

Patron Login (nypl.org) -- Access Denied

Just followed all of the sign-up protocols for SimplyE/nypl.org electronic sign-up through APP to gain access to Lynda.com digital tutorials. "Patrol Login" page won't allow access, following error message: "Your request could not be processed. Check your card and PIN and try again. If problems persist, contact your library." I am 110% certain info is indeed correct as-entered (Library Card Number is copy/pasted from nypl e-mail / PIN is four digits, no-way that's wrong). Not clear if there is a waiting period to gain access, literally just signed-up.

cant find my linkedin learning certificates of completion

I was ok yesterday, was able to see my learning, courses i have finished, courses i have collected, but when i logged in this morning, everything was lost:-(. The only thing that was new when i logged in was it asked me to allocate 30minutes or so (had 3 choices) to learning. Then I couldnt see my previous finished and collected courses:-(
