The Career, Education and Information Services division of the Bronx Library Center has partnered with the Bronx Workforce Career Center to host its first Retail Seasonal Hiring Recruitment and Screening Event.

Registration/Orientation Begins:

12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
(Late arrivals will not be admitted)
Candidate Screenings Begin Promptly at 1:30 p.m.

Positions include:

Retail Merchandise/Sales Associate
Cashiers and Clerks
Stock Associate

Candidates who pass the screening process will then be referred and scheduled to interview with the employer(s) on a date soon to follow.

Be prepared with:

2 copies of your updated resume
Professional interview attire
Photo ID with your date of birth and your Workforce1 membership card
A pen

The CEIS Department

Since the first time I walked into this department, I felt welcomed, comfortable and relaxed. CEIS is a very friendly atmosphere and the professionals up there are phenomenal, they really know their stuff. I would recommend their services to anyone! I look forward to working with you all. Mr. Kabir is very, very personable with a great personality, especially when he says "Ain't Know Body Got Time For That!" Great place to be! Love Matt

A New Job - A New Experience

Robyn has made a big difference in the lives of job-seekers, I for one can honestly say, if weren't for Robyn, I would probably not be working at this very moment. I would absolutely refer anyone for assistance from the CEIS department. The work done on resumes are impeccable and the personal guidance she provides in helping people secure employment is Wonderful. I am starting my new job as a Peer Specialist and I look forward to impacting the lives of my clients; the way that Robyn's office impacts the lives of people in this community. I am very satisfied with my Resume and I am very grateful that this office and the services they provide are available to the community residents of the Bronx. I just want to let everyone know that my session with the CEIS Department was very, very, very resourceful. I do recommend others to meet with Robyn Saunders for Career Path direction and Mr. Kabir for library assistance. They are a great TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS.

The Baychester Experience

Today, I did not expect the experience and the knowledge I acquired by attending the this seminar and well as with the other women in attendance. This experience was encouraging, enlightening and knowledgeable. I learned that I am more valuable than I thought or was told. My stock value has risen exceedingly. I am truly an asset and not a liability. Ms. Saunders, is going to help me revise my resume, so that others can know what my true value are and what I bring to the table. I am more than satisfied with the level of service and cooperation that Ms. Saunders has provided. I cam in with a regular, out-dated resume. And, I left feeling confident, and extremely ecstatic about how she reconstructed, extracted and designed something that only an employer would understand.
