The New York State Department of Labor and New York City Fire Department will present an On-Site Recruitment for Firefighters, EMT, Paramedics and Fire Protection Inspectors on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bronx Workforce 1 Career Center, 400 E. Fordham Road, 7th Floor, (Classroom #1), Bronx, N.Y. 10458.

Job Requirements

In order to take the exam to become a NYC Firefighter, you MUST:

Be at least 17 1/2 years old by the end of application period and under 29 years of age at the beginning of the application period; and

File an application to take the firefighter exam. Applications will be available to the public upon actual release of the Notification of Examination.

Wages

Base Salary: $43,074; after five years $99,104.
