"Titanic": Fifteen Years Later
It has been 15 years since James Cameron’s film Titanic took the world by storm! Titanic is one of the top grossing films of all time, and this month, the film comes back to the big screen in 3D.
This film captivated audiences from all around the world with the story of two individuals (Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet) from different social and economic backgrounds falling in love under some unique and unfortunate circumstances. Both DiCaprio and Winslet stole the hearts of the viewers by taking us on an extraordinary journey of passion, love, and loss. Celine Dion summed it all up in her mega-hit "My Heart Will Go On," the theme song for the movie.
In the last 15 years, DiCaprio and Winslet have gone on to become two of the most powerful and respected actors in Hollywood. DiCaprio has starred in films like Blood Diamond (2007), The Aviator (2005), Gangs of New York (2003), Catch Me If You Can (2003), and Inception (2010). Winslet has started in films such as The Reader (2009), All the King's Men (2006), and Little Children (2007). The pair reunited for the critically acclaimed film Revolutionary Road (2009). In this film, viewers get to see DiCaprio and Winslet play an unhappy married couple in the 1950s — a big contrast from the loving romantic couple they played in Titanic.
