• No but I read the book: Hot 2012 Forthcoming Movies Based on Novels - 2012 is on fire with a new crop of literary adaptations, sci-fi & fantasy, zombies, favorite subway reads, vampires, and biopic of Lincoln (not to mention a vampiric biopic of Lincoln)! Something for everyone. Sure you love the book but are incensed at the movie version which refuses to capture its essence, but nevertheless, movie tie-in editions are being newly released for the occasion, getting them into the hands of readers. So catch up on these books before the movie comes out!

• Introduction to the French New Wave (Nouvelle Vague) - The label "New Wave" appeared in a published investigation regarding social phenomena among the postwar generation. The term became associated with a loose collective of intellectual film critics tied to the journal Cahiers du Cinema, who advocated for a breaking away from the "tyranny of narrative" in favor of a new form of film language rooted in mise-en-scène, as well as the long take and deep composition.
