The New York Public Library celebrates the 200th birthday of the nations’ 16th president, Abraham Lincoln with a day of events for children and families on Saturday, February 7. The celebration begins with a presentation by Barry Denenberg, author of several critically-acclaimed fiction and nonfiction titles for young readers such as Lincoln Shot! and All Shook Up: The Life and Death of Elvis Presley. He presents an exciting account of Lincoln’s life and career conceived as a one-year anniversary newspaper edition of Lincoln's assassination. This program is recommended for children, ages 6 and up, and their families.
