Open Computer Lab

This event will take place in person at The Washington Heights Library.

Technology should make your life easier, not more difficult.

Join a us to work on those problematic tech issues that so often inconvenience us.

We can guide you to find answers to some of your questions, or teach you some new skills that can help empower you.  Let us help make digital tools work for you, not against you. 

These open lab hours allow participants to work alongside others with staff support.                                                                         

Use our computers or bring your own device. No appointment necessary.  

Some of the topics you can ask us about include:

• creating an email account 

• sending attachments via email

• practicing with the keyboard and mouse

• browsing the Internet, and using a search engine

• using Google or Microsoft applications

• converting documents to a  PDF format

• downloading eBooks and Audiobooks
