Computer Assistance

This event will take place in-person at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library, 4th Floor, Room 403.

Work one-on-one with a Library staff member to answer questions about computers. If you have a tech problem, question, or would just like some individualized tutorials, this is your time to work with a librarian and receive personal attention and instruction.

Examples of computer help can include:

  • Learning to use the internet and get help navigating websites (Ex: NYC and NYS agency websites)
  • Help with email (ex: creating an email account, sending and replying to messages, sending attachments, etc)
  • Learning to type using an online typing program
  • How to access our free eBooks and Audiobooks with your library card
  • Learning to use our Library Catalog and help with searching our Library Databases
  • Learning to use Microsoft Office
  • Learning to use Google Docs
  • How to use Zoom and Google Meet

Please register in advance for a session lasting approximately 30 minutes. The Library’s computers and internet connection will be available for use during this session.

If you would like to register for a formal computer class, please visit nypl.org/techconnect. Sign up for NYPL Connect to get updates from NYPL and information about our digital resources and services.
