Classes will take place IN PERSON at Clason's Point Library.  Come to the Library and meet other people who are practicing English, just like you!

These are Intermediate / Advanced Level 1-Hour Conversation Classes for English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). It is required that participants speak some English, classes are designed for those wishing to practice and increase their English language vocabulary. 

For Adult learners (16 and older, not in High School).  NO REGISTRATION NEEDED!  Just come to a class!  All materials will be provided.

Adult learners will have the opportunity to learn English by watching We Speak NYC videos and discussing them with other adults from around the world.  We Speak NYC is an Emmy Award-winning TV show created to help people practice English. Each story is about everyday situations, like going to the doctor or talking with a child's teacher. The characters speak slowly and clearly.

  • Skill prerequisites: Participants must speak some English
  • Audience: Adults, 50+, English Language Learners, Immigrants, Young Adults/Pre GED (16-24 years)
