Location
Explore your artistic potential with Creative Aging, a series of art workshops for adults 50 and older.
This program will be held in person at Battery Park City Library. Join us for Printing without a Press! Teaching artist Dikko Faust will guide participants over 8 sessions from October 18 through December 6.
Students will learn accessible approaches to making editions of their own designs. We will explore frottage (wax rubbings), monoprint, paste papers, collagraph (collage printing), styrograph dry point, eraser stamps, etc. These processes can later be done at home with friends and family--and can be used to make holiday cards, as well as frameable works of art.
Materials will be provided for this program.
Attendance at all sessions is recommended. Space is limited. Supplies are available on a first come, first serve basis. Register with your email address for all program sessions. Walkups will be permitted as space accommodates.
