About the Presenters:

 

Patty Morrison and Dan Kaufman-Berson are with the Cannabis Employment and Education Development unit (CEED) at the New York State Department of Labor. CEED’s mission is to empower and prepare the workforce and businesses to support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive cannabis industry, resulting in economic opportunity and growth for traditionally underserved people, and positioning New York State to be a leading model for the nation.

Julien Vincent, a Queens native brings a deep understanding of New York communities to his role as Community Liaison for the New York State Office of Cannabis Management. With a B.A. in Political Science, Julien has a strong background in government affairs. Prior to joining the OCM, he honed his skills doing community work alongside two New York State Senators, an Assembly member, and various city agencies. Julien is a passionate advocate for social equity within the burgeoning cannabis market. He is dedicated to fostering open communication between the OCM and the communities it serves, ensuring all New Yorkers can learn and participate in this new emerging cannabis industry.
