10 dance students from Franklyn and Marshall College in Pennsylvania came to LPA to learn and practice research. They focused on individual topics in 20th century dance and practiced both computer catalogue and card catalogue techniques. At the request of the teacher, Jennifer Conley, they began with the exhibition Pioneering Poet of Light: Florence Vandamm and the Vandamm Studio, which includes photographs of an un-documented early modern dnac work (Pagan Poem) and the original 1934 key sheet for Balanchine's Serenade.
