LGBT: Anti-Prom 2010 : Glam-Prom
Break out your boa and throw on some glitter for Glam-Prom at The New York Public Library. Rock out under Bartos Forum’s glitzy dome and chow down on colorful treats. Kick off your summer with a sparkling celebration, and find out how you can get involved with more summer programming!
The Anti-Prom provides an alternative, safe space for all teens who may not feel welcome at official school proms or dances because of their sexual orientation, the way they dress, or any other reason.
Watch the Project Library 2010 video series and see how teens from New York City's High School of Fashion Industries are designing outfits that will be featured in a runway show at Glam-Prom.
Initial funding for The New York Public Library's LGBT initiative was provided by TimeWarner.
This event will be videotaped and photos will be taken. By attending this event, you agree that any videos/photos in which you appear may be used by the Library (on its website and on third party websites.)
