Books for the Teen Age 2007

About the Cover Design

Each year The New York Public Library sponsors a citywide competition to design the cover of Books for the Teen Age. The cover art for Books for the Teen Age 2007 was created by Shakeema Mattox, who resides in the Bronx and is a participant in the Young Artists Program of The Educational Alliance Art School, located on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. She is a 9th-grade student at the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan.
