Anne Rouyer, librarian at our Mulberry Street branch, recommends Pie in the Sky by Remy Lai. It's a middle-grade novel for kids around grades 4-6, about a young immigrant who feels out of place in America at first but soon begins to find his way in this strange new country. Anne notes that the book is "full of laugh-out-loud humor and fun illustrations that make this perfect for fans of Wimpy Kid and Dork Diaries."
