Tech A Thon 2019 at Tompkins Square Library
The New York Public Library is proud to present our first-ever Tech A Thon at Tompkins Square Library, made possible thanks to a grant from the Innovation Project.
The Tech A Thon will be help April 13, 2019 from 11 AM to 4 PM. The event will feature three challenges that range from coding to wireframing, and winners of each challenge will be awarded a prize. You can also find tech gadget stations and tabling from various organizations throughout the event.

NYPL Tech A Thon 2019 Schedule
11 AM - 3 PM
Think It Challenge
All teens welcome, and you will receive your challenge at 11 AM! Participants will be placed into a group of three: Two teens and one mentor, with each group announced the day of the event! You will use wireframe.cc to present your project to the judges at 3 PM.
Each member of the winning team wins a Kindle Fire tablet!

Python Challenge (Debugging)
All teens with some Python experience are welcome! The fastest to debug a whole script will win a $100 Amazon Gift Card! Register here!
12 PM
Lunch will be served! Take time to recharge and talk with your peers.
1 PM
Javascript Coding Algorithm
All teens with some Javascript experience are welcome! To complete this challenge, participants will need to create code for an algorithm. The winner receives a $100 Amazon Gift Card. Register here!
