#RainbowReading: NYC Libraries March at Pride 2018

Pride march

On June 24, The New York Public Library joined Queens Public Library and Brooklyn Public Library at the 2018 New York City Pride March. The library staff members marched with a banner with a message central to the values of the three systems: Libraries Are for Everyone.

Throughout the month of June, NYPL has been celebrating Pride and has been sharing resources. If you'd like to attend a Pride event or program at your favorite branch, you can find more information in our events round-up. Check out daily reading recommendations of recently published books featuring LGBTQ characters in 30 Books for Pride Month. If you're a fan of graphic novels and superheroes, this list of books featuring LGBTQ superheroes has great suggestions. For some music to listen to while celebrating all things Pride, this playlist of LGBTQ-themed Broadway musicals is the perfect fit.
