Booktalking "The Flip Side" by Shawn Johnson
Two names, two lives. Two sides of the same personality.
Charlie Ryland is an elite gymnast who has her eyes on the Olympic trials and attaining world-renowned success at the pinnacle of her career. She trains every day for hours and tries to fit the rest of her life around that. Charlie is best friends with another elite gymnast named Gwen.
Charlotte Ryland is your typical high-schooler, concerned with boys and teachers, prom and other school drama. She is shy and insecure with glasses and hair that she wears down. She gets the social interaction of high school with her brother, Josh. Her best friend in high school is Zoe. Like the rest of the school, Zoe knows nothing of her friend's athletic prowess.
Then the two worlds collide.
Keeping her pre-Olympic activities closeted becomes increasingly difficult for Charlotte as she becomes more and more comfortable with Bobby, an elite wrestler. He is a new friend of hers who would very much like to be more than a friend. Her secret keeps threatening to reveal itself, and Charlie wants nothing less than the experience of dealing with the consequences of such exposure.

Great story from a celebrity. It's awesome that an Olympic gymnast who won multiple gold medalist is the author. I love reading books about sports by people who have an intimate knowledge of those worlds.
