Library Stories
Ep. 37 "I Got the Idea" | Library Stories
When Steve Kaufman’s son was struggling to put his own shoes on due to childhood scoliosis, Steve got an idea: to invent hands-free shoes for people with disabilities and mobility issues. With the help of NYPL’s StartUp competition and the resources at the Science, Industry & Business Library, Steve founded Quikicks, a line of hands-free footwear that allows the user to step in and out of their shoes with ease. Learn more about Steve’s inspiration, and how the Library helped him build a business from the ground up, in this week’s Library Story.
