Harlem Week 2014
Harlem Week began in 1974 as Harlem Day, a one-day tribute that was so well received and unexpectedly successful that an entire week was given for the historic community to showcase and celebrate its rich economic and political culture. Celebrating its 40th anniversary HARLEM WEEK will offer hundreds of events throughout the summer to millions of attendees from many parts of the world. Come celebrates the neighborhoods assets and unique flavor, promoting Harlem’s rich African, African-American, Caribbean, Hispanic and European history, culture, arts, religion, entertainment and sports.
