The New York State Department of Labor and the New York City Police Department will present On-Site Recruitment Information Sessions for School Safety Officer, Traffic Enforcement Agent and Police Officer on Monday, April 7 and Friday, April 18, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the New York State Department of Labor, Bronx Workforce 1 Career Center, 400 E. Fordham Road, 7th Floor (Classroom #1), Bronx, N.Y. 10458.
School Safety Officer
JOB REQUIREMENTS : Candidates must be at least 21 years of age at time of appointment. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED.
WAGES: Starting Salary is $31,259 per year
Traffic Enforcement
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at time of appointment. Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED, and have a valid NYS Driver's License.
WAGES: Starting Salary is $29,217 per year ($33,600 after 2 years)
Police Officer
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must be at least 21 years of age on or before the day of hire. Candidates must have sixty (60) college credits with at least a 2.0 G.P.A. from an accredited college or university, or two (2) years of full-time, active military service in the United States Armed Forces with an honorable discharge and have a high school's diploma or its equivalent.
WAGES: Starting Salary is $44,744 per year
