Need some ideas? The New York Public Library has many books on Earth Day including some interesting ones like Earth Day Crafts by Carol Gnojewski and True Green Kids: 100 Things You Can Do To Save The Planet by Kim McKay.
Why not borrow the CD, Mother Earth by Tom Chapin and listens to songs about our planet? Adults may want to read about the founder of Earth Day, Gaylord Nelson. If so pick up a copy of The Man From Clear Lake.

It’s My Park Day has a round of events starting on May 4th. The American Littoral Society always has opportunities to help with coastal clean-ups and this Earth Day weekend they are seeking volunteers to help restore Jamaica Bay.
After a busy day of volunteering why not borrow a copy of Earth Days, the documentary by Robert Stone? Sit back, relax and learn a bit about the history of the environmental movement in the United States.
