Stuff for the Teen Age
It's Henna Time at Mulberry Street!
The teens at the Mulberry Street Library had a special treat at their weekly Crafternoon, a workshop with Mehndi artist Mengala Bühler-Rose of MehndiNYC!
First, we learned about the history of henna and how it's made. Then we had some time to practice on sheets of paper, people were pretty nervous about putting the henna paste on their actual arms except for one particiant who used her initials:
Those of us who wanted our own special design were lucky enough to get some one on one time with the artist herself!
We all left with cool tattoos and some henna to take home so we can try on ourselves... or our little brothers!
