Calling All Romance Readers!
Last month at Jefferson Market, our new romance book club had its first meeting. There were cupcakes, giveaways, a great discussion of Thea Harrison's Dragon Bound, and a lot of laughter.
On Monday September 17th, we will be holding our second discussion, this time on books one and two of Jennifer Ashley's Highland Pleasures Series: The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie, and Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage. Because — let's be honest — one book is just not enough, especially when they involve the dark, dangerous, and notorious Lord Ian Mackenzie! He spent his youth in a mental asylum, and all of London society holds him responsible for the brutal murders of two women, but Beth Ackerly can't help but wonder if there isn't more to the troubled Scottish nobleman...
The group is just getting off the ground, and the more the merrier! Led by Shauna O'Garro, one of our loyal patrons, and a romance writer herself, under the pen name Alyssa Cole, it is for those who love discussing all things romance and those interested in learning more about the genre.
The group meets the third Monday of every month, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on the third floor of Jefferson Market. On Monday October 15th, we will be discussing two paranormal romances: Larissa Ione's Eternal Rider and Kelly Creagh's young adult novel Nevermore.
