LiveStories: A Personal Journey Through Memoir and Performance
Have you always wanted to write? Do you have a personal story you've been yearning to share?
This fall, the Grand Central Library will be offering a unique opportunity for seniors to participate in an ongoing writing and performance workshop. Professional teaching artists will guide members in how to share their stories through the written word, and even incorporate aspects of the performing into their work.
Through a generous grant provided by www.lifetimearts.org, Grand Central is one of five branches that will be participating in NYPL’s Creative Aging in Our Communities initiative, which seeks to assure that the arts are part of our lives, even as we get older.
If you are over 55 and are interested in joining the LiveStories workshop, please call (212) 621-0670, or speak with a Grand Central Library staff member to register. Space is limited. Register today!
The workshop will meet for 9 consecutive Wednesdays, from 1-2:30 beginning September 22. Participants must commit to attending all sessions.
